Move PDFs from ipad to iphone and macbook?

I have about 15 PDFs on my iPad that I can't seem sync. I have "sync collections" and "show all purchases" turned on on all three devices, but the PDFs only show up on the iPad. I also tried plugging it into the computer and syncing it with itunes by selecting sync books > selected books > PDF files but the files still did not show up on the computer. WTH?

iBooks.

I figured out how to sync PDFs that are on my laptop to the iPad and iPhone using iBooks and iTunes, but I can't figure out how to send them the opposite direction.

Did you try "transfer purchases" in iTunes?
