move single home folders separately

hi guys, i got NAS that syncs folder immediately and putted all my home folders there but those folder i use with lot of trash (downloads and desktop) are melting my spare space in the hdd 🙁

is there way to move single folders (documents, photos, movies) to another locations?

if symbolic link is the answer, should i move everything back and make a symlink to the shared folder right?
