RE: Android purchased (or not) apps - Apple kinda did this with music when they launched iTunes match. They didn't really care where your crappy 128kb MP3 came from - if they had it in their library - it was a match. I honestly think if there was a iOS equivalent app available then just gift it to the people coming over from Android. Apple want you in the the App Store eco system... simples.

Yes, but don't forget that users pay $25/year for that privilege. It isn't completely free.
 
Sad that this is a thing instead of it being the other way around. It's like the Windows-to-Mac migration utilities. And like with Windows, I'm assuming it's a PITA to move from Android manually since it scatters your files all over the place.
 
Google should reject that app. Simply because Apple will never allow such an app on their platform.

That would be HILARIOUS if they did & Apple immediately yanked Google Maps, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Search(Google Now), and every other Google app from the Apple App Store!!!
