Moved iTunes Library to external, Ratings?

I moved my iTunes library to an external hard drive. Is there anyway to keep my ratings, or do I have to re-rate thousands of songs?

if you move the whole iTunes library and not just the artists folders in iTunes music you will move your ratings, playlists, song counts, artwork for mp3s etc. to import it into iTunes again hold option when you open iTunes and choose the whole iTunes folder.
