Jailbroke with jailbreakme.com and used the Gevey Ultra to unlock since I am on firmware 04.10.01 but I cannot send SMS or MMS but I can receive SMS through my carrier of TIM. I have tried downloading iPhonedelivery with no success and I don't have FuriousMod installed, everytime I put that on the phone won't get a signal. So all I have is the Gevey Ultra SIM card with Carrier SIM and Cydia. I can have a signal but nothing allows me to send and receive SMS or MMS (the button doesn't appear). Should I consult my carrier or is there anything else I should try first? Anyone have any suggestions?

Moved to Brazil and unlocked iPhone 4 with Gevey but SMS or MMS don't work.

Not exactly. APN settings vary by carrier. So you'll need to find the correct ones for your carrier. In my case (Honduras) it tends to be:
mms.tigo.hn
However, this is also accompanied of other settings such as server proxy and such. Like I said, it is carrier specific.
Follow These Steps;
- Open Up Safari on iPhone
- Go To - http://www.unlockit.co.nz
- Hit Continue - Hit Custom APN - Go To Carrier & Select BR TIM - Hit Create Profile - Hit Install
