I think that the OP is referring to an iPhone app called Moves (or some variation of that spelling)? This does background gathering of where you dwell, walk etc... then produces some great looking graphics.

Yes, sorry I was referring to an app that is on the iPhone called Moves. Its a step monitor app like Pedometer but its compatible with Apple Health and more importantly Vitality. I need to hit targets each month to pay for my watch and for the steps target it only uses Moves but seeing as I don't have my phone on me all the time in the office I cant use it lol.
