Movie can not be played

I'm on 4.3.1 JB with redsnow. I received a few video clips through MMS and when I go play the movie I get an error message saying: This movie can not be played. Anyone else have this issue. Is it with the JB? Is there a fix?

You wouldn't happen to be using bitesms would you?

Yes I am. Interesting. I can view it in regular mms, but not in bitesms.

I think its always been like that with Bite.
You get a message that you have a text/mms and then it opens the stock messages app to play/view the mms.

Are you using the latest beta too? I'm having the same exact problem, as are others. I've reported the problem in the bitesms forum and they've acknowledged that they're working on it.

You get a message that you have a text/mms and then it opens the stock messages app to play/view the mms.

This is definitely not true - I've always been able to play mms videos right in the bitesms app until the last couple of betas. They screwed something up in the beta and they need to fix it.

Oh OK. I'm not sure which version I'm using. If there was an update in Cydia, I most likely updated it then. Thanks for the help!

I havent tried it in the bitesms app but they dont show up on the quickreply/quicklist right?

The videos don't show up in QR but the pictures do now (in the beta only though). I can't imagine that the videos will ever show up in QR but maybe they'll surprise us.
