Hi guys I am leader of my school's movie club and I need some suggestions for movies. They cannot be rated R and they need to be somewhat educational. They don't exactly have to be non-fiction, but they need to have educational elements. They also need to be entertaining!

Movies that fit this bill but don't want as they were played last year:

    -Gladiator
    -300
    -Tombstone

I don't care what anyone says, 300 is more funny than educational...

Silent Running (really under rated movie)

    The Dark Knight (PG-13)

Sullivan's Travels (or any other Preston Sturges movie)

Maybe, City of Ember (not great cinema, but a really good story)

    Iron Jawed Angels

    Johnny Got His Gun

OOH YES! That was an amazing story... But only if the ending was crafted a bit more!

Any teacher-student or mentor stories will fit the bill.

    Finding Forrester
    Dangerous Minds
    Good Will Hunting
    Stand and Deliver
    Dead Poets Society
    The Emperor's Club

    or

    The Outsiders
    Stand By Me
    Pearl Harbor

Both Gladiator and 300 were rated-R.

    Anyways, back to suggestions.

    How about:

    March of the Penguins
The Da Vinci Code (perhaps not entirely educational)
