Movie/Vid app that plays most types?

Does anyone know of an app that would allow me to play videos that have different formats?

Such as:
AVI
MPG
MPEG

I can only find apps that will only play specific types.

that way you'll be able to use all formats (well almost in iMovie, QT and so on )

Download Perian and Flip4Mac and you will be able to play just about anything in Quicktime. But if you want a different application VLC will do the trick.
