Hey everyone,

I'm having a problem with my QuickTime software. A couple of weeks ago my player began acting up... with movie files it plays the video portion but I'm not getting any audio. I reinstalled the software to and created a "test" account to make sure that it wasn't a user preferences issue. Do you guys have any thoughts on how to fix this?

Just tried that and unfortunately still no audio... does anyone have other thoughts? I'm really trying to avoid completely reinstalling the OS (apple tech support's suggestion to me). Ugh.

Just installed the 7.5 update and now neither quicktime or front row will play any of the audio of my files

What happened??

Posted this in the wrong thread!!!

Anyway

all movies work on my laptop with 7.5 and OS 10.4.11, but not on my iMac with 10.5.4

any ideas??

There have been some incidents of quicktime corrupting with 10.5 installs. It pretty much requires an archive reinstall of the os.
