Does apple ever remove movies from the store or iCloud. I'm wondering because I have movies backed up on hard drive that I want to delete but I'm unsure if apple will eventually delete movies.

Keep your local copies
If in doubt, just archive a copy to DVD. Sometimes Apple will stop selling movies in iTunes, however I would expect them to still be available online for those that have already purchased them. I don't know for sure though.
