I’ve definitely been turning back to blu rays for my films. Less streaming, less digital purchases. I find the content issues frustrating lately. iTunes Store can’t even get their descriptions to have proper spelling lately. Some series have endings missing from episodes. I’m taking back control of my media

So you watch forced commercials/trailers/FBI Warnings. Cool?

I am fortunate that the content I collect on Blu is mostly in collector editions or sets; I may deal with FBI/Piracy warnings but no forced commercials, or anything of that ilk. The short warning, which on some of the discs doesn't even display until the end, is a small price to pay for the comfort of having the superior quality in video and audio. I was ALL about streaming/ripping and building my digital library since 2008 til present. The inconsistency lately and inability to get errors corrected on episode content, descriptions and even titles will not be missed.
I do have all my purchases backed up to iTunes and an external HD. Yes, I can go through every error and correct the details like the fact that I have to correct every episode of the Addams Family to show its proper airdate and not that the original airdate was in 2011. Some episodes of series I have bought on iTunes cut off 3-4 minutes before the actual end of the episode, though it's complete on the disc. I submit the errors to iTunes support. Recently they lost a ticket they had been working with me for weeks, even escalating up to content advisors and even though I have the Support Ticket #, they say they have no record of my report. I sent screenshot attachments of the email and chat I had with the original filing and follow up conversations, I was told to resubmit. Streaming services are fine for replacing my casual TV viewing or rental. No longer for my purchased library.
Sunday I watched Universal's Dracula's Daughter on Blu and there was just no way the HD digital purchase even came close. The rich atmosphere and deep blacks are irreplaceable when I want to get lost in the film.
When I contacted iTunes support recently on one of the TV episodes I purchased that had the ending cut off, their solution was to delete the episode and re-download, even though I would be downloading the same file with the same error.

Checked last night and all the Bourne movies ported over from Movies Anywhere are 4k where only the second film was a few days ago.
