Movies to DVD

Hi,

Can anyone advise what software to use to put movies and tv shows off my Mac onto a DVD. I tried inserting a blank DVD and hitting 'burn' (think using disk utility) but my DVD player couldn't read it. Also I have most movies in MP4 format and some QuickTime.

iDVD is what you want to use. Simply hitting "Burn" just burns the actual file as-is to the DVD, and many DVD players cannot decode video data files. iDVD will convert the video file into a DVD-video playable on a DVD player.
