So I tried to sync my movies. Normally I'd go into the iPhone device, select movies under the top sync categories, and then check SYNC MOVIES and then either select all or selectively sync. However, none of my movies\home videos\TV shows are showing up.

anyone else know how to resolve?

I've been seeing this with my new 6 all day. If I do some combo of toggling on/off "manage music and video manually" I can get some to copy, but it soon reverts to not letting me sync any videos. It's got to be an iTunes bug. I can move the same files to an iPad 3 I just upgraded to iOS 8 with no problem.

If you expand the iPhone in the left column, you can see that the references of those videos are shown, but they have hollow circle icons and the download never initiates.

Update: I have a LOT of these errors in Console:
9/19/14 10:24:44.533 PM iTunes[708]: Failed to create replacement string
9/19/14 10:25:48.970 PM iTunes[708]: AudioCodec returned an output channel layout incompatible with its output format. 6 != 2

This seems to be related too:
9/19/14 10:35:52.666 PM com.apple.usbmuxd[62]: MuxTCPInputSCE received RST for 0x26-9fc3e7ec1b0cab09fc8dc77ac0e43f5dffd4d58f@0x14100000:55264->0x1003030e0-MDCrashReportTool/NULL:54021: sendMuxSegment connection was closed

Leaving the "Manually manage music and videos" checked solved it for me.
