Hey, The Mummy movie didn't suck nearly as much as the reviewers said it did. Nice pace, the Yetis were cool, decent martial arts action with Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh. Brendan Fraser didn't seem old enough to have that guy as his son. Maria Bello was nice but I missed Rachel Weisz.

But all in all, it didn't suck nearly so much. In fact, you could take the suckage difference (reviewers-reality) and apply it Batman, which was good, but criminy not THAT good.

Yup, watched it yesterday and I agree totally with that!

Also, Hancock is very very cool! As is Iron Man (although that is no longer in cinemas) Journey to the Center of The Earth sucks, although the effects are good.

Redbelt is one of the best fighting films in the last five years. Actually Redbelt was the only good fight movie in the last five years. David Mammet was always good as writer and directing. Chiwetel Ejiofor was excellent and definitely kept you involved through out the whole film. There is the other film called Scorpion. Its a foreign film, so I'm not really sure who the actors are. On the other hand the fight scenes reminded me of Redbelt. Mostly because they were so realistic.

Seen the usual flicks like Wall-E, Indiana Jones Crystal Skull, IJ Raiders of the Lost Ark (outdoor screening), Dark Knight, The Fall, OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies, The Happening, Journey to Center of the Earth, Kung Fu Panda, Up the Yangtze.

Also just yesterday I saw Werner Herzog's Encounters at the End of the World. Wonderful film. Love it when the crew visit the volcano.

Will of course see Bond

Quantum of Solace, even though I hate Daniel Craig (Pierce Brosnan will be avenged!!!!). I was going to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince but stupid Warner Brothers decided to push it back until summer 2009. Also I just saw Pineapple Express, and that had to be the funniest movie I have ever seen.

I've seen Batman...was a great movie.

Haven't seen...but want too.
Indiana Jones
Wall-e

:D

Saw Hancock this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. There was lots more to the movie than the trailer, which seems to be a first lately. All in all, it didn't suck.

In fact, this is probably the summer of the nonsucking movies. Not that there's anything that great out there, but there are a lot that just don't suck, which I guess is a step forward.

I've been a fan of Pierce Brosnan since Remington Steele but I gotta say, the thought of him singing "SOS" in Mamma Mia makes me glad someone else is Bond, James Bond.
