Why is it so strange and difficult to easily move around widgets on the home screen? Every time I try to move around and put a widget in a place it doesn‘t do so and instead icons get moved around in that place or other widgets and I have to drag other widgets around first, move the icons away and then maybe that previous widget finally moves into the correct space.

Any idea? This is really frustrating.

I strongly agree with this. The moment I try to move or add anything to the home screens the existing widgets and icons flip all over the place. 🙂

It’s mad that the method for arranging icons on the screen is the same as it was in 2007….what the hell Apple…..just put something in settings that let us arrange to how we want!!

Widgets really need an overhaul, the smart rotate widget deletes what is already there each and every time that I make an edit! - So frustrating.

yes, the Home Screen set up is a complete mess. It is always messing up my whole app arrangement if I want to add or remove a widget on the first screen for example. At least you can now add another widget with a "+" button to an existing stack on iOS 15

I can’t help but think that at least part of the issue with the huge increase in bugs and crappy software development this year has to do with developers working from home. There has to be too many distractions, and I suspect a lot of goofing off going on. Not to mention the lack of good peer review and team coordination. I used to think working from home might be good for the industry, but this pandemic seems to have shown the opposite is true. It certainly looks like the quality suffered greatly. No wonder Apple is trying pull its workforce back into the office. At any rate, the quality of iOS and iPadOS 15 is terrible, the worst release I’ve seen in years. The widget issue and the tabs in Safari convinced me to downgrade my iPad Air 2020 to 14.8.

Anyone else also getting widgets randomly placed in a stack and then not being able to remove them unless you pull the particular widget out of the stack? Yeah pretty annoying.
