Moving Brave icon to dock.

I have just downloaded and installed Brave browser, but can't drag the desktop icon onto the docking area. Any ideas, please?

The desktop icon is likely just a shortcut, go into the Application folder in Finder and drag the Brave icon to your dock.

Thanks, hg. Seems that I need a later version OS before I can install Brave.

Are you sure you're not trying to drag the Brave DMG to your Dock? Because macOS apps don't automatically put any icons (shortcuts) on your desktop.

You can try following this little guide I wrote earlier for someone trying to install Chrome.

Once you open Brave, right click its icon in the dock, select options, and 'Keep in Dock'
