Click to expand... 😱 Just drag them out. Plug in your iPhone and open the DCIM folder and drag them out to a folder. Done.

Whenever I've cleared off my phone, I let iPhoto do it's thing - but then my camera pics show up as 'events' on the phone. Do you _need_ to have those pics in the camera roll, or are folders/events good enough?

I had stated that you could do this, but I needed to get home to make sure. No, you can't copy the images back to the camera roll. You can get them back on your iPhone by syncing, but they won't be in the camera roll.
