Hey guys,

Are there any specific steps I need to take in order to make the switch? I just tried setting up a 3TB time capsule with no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you...

RE: AEB to TC...

Hi Sal,

You probably don't want to hear this, but if you are just switching from an AEB to a TC, then it should be a piece of pie, easy as cake...

The TC should be configured exactly the same way using Airport Utility as your older AEB was configured, with the exception that you now have a 3TB NAS that you can use for storage or TM backups.

Good luck,
Switon

You can download the configuration from your old AEBS and upload it to your TC.
  1. Open Airport Utility
  2. Select your AEBS
  3. Click Edit
  4. From the menu bar select File > Export Configuration File
  5. Save it to your Desktop
  6. Select your new TC
  7. Click Edit
  8. From the Menu Bar select Import Configuraiton
  9. Navigate to your Desktop and select the configuration file you saved from your AEBS
I hope this helps. If you need anymore help please don't hesitate to ask.

Just make sure that when you do your first backup you connect the computer directly via an ethernet cable or IT WILL TAKE FOREVER.
