iCloud moving icloud folder from default location

HI All,

I would like to move my icloud folder to another location on the hard drive. Mostly so that I can more easily sync it to my NAS as an extra backup/cloud solution. In the past I know that moving certain folders could cause all kinds of unintended behavior.

Have people moved their icloud folder without any issues or have you been able to link/sync the icloud folder some other way to a NAS (synology if that helps).
