Guys, I am going to get my new MacBook Pro, and of course, I need to get my iPhone backups and stuff to my iTunes on my Mac, but my laptop which is used for my iPhone syncing and backup was sent to repairs, and that means I had to get everything from my iPhone to my Mac, and I'm desperate because the iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak just came out, and I need to update my iPhone firmware (and that requires deleting all data on the iPhone) to 5.0.1 before Apple manages to patch the new exploit. I need to get a quick way to backup my iPhone data to my new Mac and then restore it. Anybody have ideas about how am I gonna do it? Thanks a bunch!

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you not to worry about the timing. Just don't update to 5.0.2 or 5.1 or whatever's next.

You won't be forced to update against your will.

Thanks

Maybe, but I'm kinda desperate since I need to get the new data and backups to my new Mac. I never want to get stuck on iOS 5.0.0 again. The battery life SUCKS. The battery decreases by 20% after a night of standby. Amazing. I just want to quickly solve the battery issue. Someone in the iPhone dev team even said that there might be a spy in the team, since :apple: managed to patch the jailbreak exploit even before the hackers release the jailbreak. Anybody have suggestions for my answer? And another thing, SHSH blobs can only be saved by iFaith, though I heard that Cydia actually started caching 5.0.1 SHSH, but I restored with SHSH before for my iPhone 4, and it was stuck to a restore loop or something (impossible to get out of recovery), so I don't want to restore later with SHSH blobs, and I want to completely solve the battery issues. I just need a way to backup things directly to my new Mac.
