Hi,
I have a powerbook g4 running leopard with like 500 megs of ram and I'm thinking about transferring my itunes data on to my external hard drive because the laptop is too slow, and then run the drive from my parents nice new 24 inch because they don't want me filling up memory on it. I've seen tutorials on moving itunes to an external hard drive but how do I make the data accessible from another mac? and is it possible to do it without my ipod counting down a number from the amount of computers I can sync it from? I think I used my last one like a year ago. thanks!

Accessing your library is the easy part. For that, just do exactly what you have planned and then share that library in iTunes on the other Mac. Then you'll see it over the network.

The part involving the iPod though is not easy (or maybe not even possible?) because you can't sync your iPod to a shared library.
