Hi.
I've a big movies folder on an extarnal drive, that I use the TV app to view. If I move the folder to a new, faster drive with another name, will TV app go bananas and force me to link everything up again, or will it let me point to the new location and sort it out automatically? Remember this is not the default media location in TV preferences.

Move the folder, open the TV app while holding down the alt key, it'll give you the option of choosing a new library. Select the location you've moved it to, job done.

Thanks. Load off my mind.
Just to make shure; this is not the TV Library in homefolder/Movies/
I haven't moved that, or the media folder. This is just a folder on a external drive, that I've used TV app to play, and organize.

Try a simple test - just move one of the movies out of its present location. It will disappear from your library.

I put a folder with mp4 files in the trash, opened TV app, and it could still play the video. I right-clicked and selected 'show in finder' and it was playing the file from the trash! Never seen that before. Looks like it's quite capable. I'll figure it out.

Files in the Trash still have links to the original file location. That's why you can right click on them to put them back in their original location.

Try moving a file to a location such as the Desktop. That's what I did and the movie disappeared from the TV app.
