between flesh and thought
I have 2 pop email addresses that I access with apples mail client. I got an iphone hoping to be able to access all of my emails from my pocket. I realized that the mail servers do not hold messages for very long and much of my email is only on laptop. In addition I do not like apples mail client and prefer gmail optimized for iphone.

So I would like to get all the messages that are on my laptop in mail into my gmail account. But I do not want them to be forwarded and alter who they are from and the timestamp etc. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

I just tested this right now and I think I know what you can do..

web:
-create your account on Gmail, create a new Label that you would want to use to identify your 2 other pop email

desktop:
-then using your Mail client access your Gmail account using the IMAP settings
-once its done downloading the info of your Gmail in Mail, you will see the Labels you created in Gmail as a folder in Mail
-Drag into that folder those emails that you currently have in your Mail client

back to web:
-in a few minutes try to access your Gmail account online and go to that label, you will then see those emails as if they were sent to your Gmail account.

hope this help
