Iphone and Iphoto

I have it too, thought to be wise enough to upload all my photo's and music (from my crashing down Imac) to my cool Iphone! Well, no luck there. :(

Like my Itunes library, so cool, now all I can do is listen to my music and see al the groovy photographs I've been taken on my coolpix camera, on.....my Iphone..... and so not on my new installed Imac.

I even tried to act on it by using the bluetooth.....yeah me is the Mac ;) nerd :D or....Oh no no no, only the adress book is visible, like I cared that much! I do use MobileMe, so everything was already in sinc, so it's not that mobile now, is it?!?

Now I'm going to wait 'till Leopard snow is there to buy, the upgrade that is.
Then I'm going to do whatever is necesarry to get my pictures and music back....

Note to me and you, in the future, make sure you have a back up on your external disc regarding the Iphoto and Itunes library.....
Note to #Apple do be more friendly to your way :apple: groovy friends and "nerds", otherwise you might lose them to......... (oh yeah baby) Microsoft!!!! LOL

Apple is way smart for not letting you download pictures (wonder what's the score in this for them) and your music you didn't buy from the store (that's so rude) or whatever...

Think the :apple: people might read this, hope they do act on my well informed critisisme, don't think so, never mind, it does have a nice ring too it for me! And even so I WANT my pictures BACK!!!!! :(:confused:

help! same problem

i have the same problem.

my MBP took a dive and crashed the HDD (i guessed i backed up everything else of course).

i can download the pictures i took with the camera using Picasa just fine, but i can't figure how to transfer the pictures in the Photo Library in iPhone TO my new MBP (the ones i synced to a folder on my crashed MBP)...

the screen capture is a great idea, but not when you have a couple hundred pics...

any suggestions? thanks!

UPDATE: it looks like Tansee iPhone Transfer Photo can do what i'm looking for, but i would still like to find a way to do this without installing third-party software (especially windows-only). it's also $19.95 with a free trial that can transfer 6 photos.

Just a FYI, but I've discovered that a number of the programs I used (sharepod, iphonebrowser, ipod2pc) no longer work now that iTunes 9 and OS 3.1 came out. This may be an issue for any of the other programs as well. I'd be wary of buying anything, unless you can get a trial.

Edit: sharepod works now.

good point, thanks.

Guys, just open Preview.app, go to File -> Import from iPhone and select the pictures you want imported..

It's that easy, at least nowadays ;)

Guess what guys, just take screen shots of each of your photos. It's quick, and it all goes into your camera roll, which will automatically upload to iphoto. I was so proud when this dawned on me. Hope I helped out millions and millions of people with my stroke of genius!

Unfortunately I don't own a Mac, I'm on WinXP and I cannot find my Camera Roll photos after syncing with iTunes; no setting for it in iTunes either? So How do I get my pics off this??

Never Mind: Win Explorer shows them when clicking on iphone camera. They're listed in .png format.

Use sharepod, like I suggested above. If sharepod doesn't show them, then they are not there.

sorry to bump an ancient thread. but I decided to start using iphoto tonight and it can only see the 12 images in my "camera roll" I have a few photo libraries on my phone each with 500 each. anyone know how to do this without buying/installing 3rd party apps?

Moving Photos from iPhone to Mac

It's pretty easy to move photos using Image Capture. It should recognize your iPhone, once it's connected. I just moved all the photos off my iPhone in under a minute.

Photos From iPhoto no in Camera Roll Fix!

I am using iPhone 4 to Macbook Pro. I had all iPhoto EVENTS sync from iTunes to iPhone 4. Then I lost all my iPhoto photos. As you are aware iPhoto will only syn what is in your Camera Roll. Anything else is on the hard drive with no way to get back. An AMAZING file share program I found in another forum worked perfectly. Its in the Apple APP Store called "SCOTTY" formally known as "PhotoToMac." It worked great! Turn on file share from your mac and then use "Scotty" you can transfer by individual photo or by album, saved all of my photos! In the future invest in an external hard drive and use time machine like i will be. :D
