The subject says it all - every time I trash something I need to input my user password....I don't remember setting anything up this way. Anyone know how to remove this?

Thanks!

Are you running in a standard user account and moving files from outside your home folder? Or are you moving files from a system directory? Have you run the file permissions repair in Disk Utility?

I'm an admin moving my own files to the trash - running a File Permissions repair in disk utility fixed it! Thanks Sedulous!

Run disk utility and repair permissions. I think that'll work.
