I'm working on a Pages (5.2.2) document with several tables but also some text and images in between.

But I can't for my life figure out why the tables stay in the same place while I insert some new text above them. I would expect everything to move further down if I do that or press RETURN to shift lines down.
I know I can move the tables around by dragging them with the mouse but this is a hassle if for instance I want to add some new tables at the beginning of the document.
Can someone please explain how this works?

Select the table, and open the Inspector>Format via the View Menu or click on the Format button in the Toolbar. Select the Arrange Tab and choose Stay On Page or Move With Text as required.
