I've been offered a job in China which I want to take. However I want to take MY computers with me - as I am afraid the ones that the company has to offer me will slow me down. I seem to recall reading a few years ago that the US government restricts the exportation of Macintosh computers to China. I wonder if anyone knows if this is still the case - am I actually able to legally ship myself a mac pro and a MacBook Pro?

That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. It's YOUR computer, you do what YOU want with it.

Besides, my MacBook Pro CAME from China. :p
