Moving to IMAP

    I would like to move from POP3 to IMAP in my two of my Mail mailbox's is their anyway to do that without losing all my mail?

    i think this will depend on the mail server you are using because if you use IMAP it will only mirror what you are seeing in the web to your Mail app..

    so when you are using POP before, check if your server deletes your email once you download the email.

    one way to test this is to actually create a new mail account and use the imap settings, once its done downloading your mail see if all the mail you wanted is there..

    Assuming your mail provider offers IMAP:

    Safest way is to create a New Mailbox on your Mac, and copy your mail to it. (That way if when you make the switch and there is no mail on the server, you still have it)
    Delete your POP account
    Create your IMAP account
    If your mail is in your IMAP account, then you can delete your local mailbox
    If it's not, you can copy it from your local folder back to the IMAP server.
