Moving to Mac was the best decision I've ever made as far as computers are concerned.

I've been having my iMac for 4 months now and as the time goes by my positive experience with the machine has been constantly growing. It's true that I've had the yellow tinge problem with my monitor and they had to replace it like 5 or 6 times but after than I haven't had any problems.

Even though I currently use the computer only for internet browsing, emailing, Aperture light picture editing, and movie watching, I feel so relieved from the cables that used to occupy my desk not a long ago. I intend to use my mac for home music production - I got interested in the new Yamaha mid-end synthesizer MoX-8 which has only just been introduced. The MoX provides a very good integration with computer software Cubase AI-5 and even comes with some VST plugins. One of the major points of the MoX is that it sends audio data directly over USB cables. I think such a synth will make a nice combo with the iMac but, as it's freshly new and only a few musicians have actually bought it, I am patiently waiting for some impartial reviews.

I am so happy with my purchase. This computer is such a convenience and besides that, working with it is a pleasure. I hope I'll never have to go back to windows machines. I intend to get a base 11" macBook Air as well, when they get updated with the new Sandy Bridge processors.

And, BTW, my iMac is the base 2010 i3 21.5" Now I wish I'd had 500 euros more to get the base 27" but no worries - I may always buy a bigger apple on some of the next refreshments :)

Glad you love the computer! I made the switch about 13 years ago and never regretted it since:)

I also use my mac for music production and like how it is more than enough power to run my Logic + Ableton Live setup.

The minimalism of an iMac is amazing. I've got one plug in the outlet and that's it. Prior to that, I had a plug for the monitor, the desktop, and the speakers. Then I had a few wires related to the keyboard and mouse. Ugh. The desk looks so clean with an iMac on top of it. I feel like I need to get a new desk to compliment the device. Hahaha.

Now if we can only get wireless iTunes sync in iOS over WiFi and I wouldn't have to drag out that unsightly cable.

Congrats! I made the move in 2007, and never looked back once. Don't listen to all the crap about how you paid more, or PC's are more this/that. An iMac, or MB, or MBP/MBA are ALL great systems, and well worth it to me.

The sleek design, and ease of use are still refreshing to me. It's actually fun to use a system again...

I'm kind of a Microsoft Benedict Arnold.

I secretly switched to Mac over 6 years ago, and never looked back.

I guess all my work with Microsoft systems NT/2000/XP convinced me there had to be something better. I still carry Microsoft credentials and work in that area from time to time but when friends ask me to recommend a computer, I recommend Apple Macs.

Friends don't let friends do Windows! :D

    Im luckier than most.

My first Mac was in 1986, yea, before most of you were born, a Mac Plus.

One of my first jobs in late 1989 was on a SE30. It flew using Quark 2 and 3.

And in the last 25 years I have *never* had to use a PC -- or at least I think I could sum up the number of hours I have sat at and actually used someone elses PC on one hand.

There are 5 Macs sitting in the house right now. :D

You kids crack me up! LOL

My first computer was an Apple II then a IIe, but I was heavily involved in Amateur Radio and well Windows seemed to be where all the radio people went, thanks to those Clones.

I also had an Atari 400 and an Atari 800.

But again, because of Amateur Radio and subsequently employment I was on Windows full time.

But that was a lifetime ago ... after I 'retired' from working in IT I sought out a better computer. First OS X machine as the last model G4 Powerbook, then a G5 Power Mac. After that Apple went Intel.

It's be a long journey for me with computers, I can't see myself ever not using an Apple computer at this point.

I say the only thing better than one Apple product is multiple Apple products. :)

I started with an iPhone 4, then an iMac and I've never looked back.

I started using Mac's in 1998 with the first iMac (my beautiful little Bondi Blue!),
and I've owned five Mac's over the years. Fantastic computers!

    I'd love to say I've never looked back ... but I can't.

I succumbed to the Dark Side. In 2010 I bought my first PC in over a decade. Windows 7 is okay, I told myself. The Alienware PC is cool, I told myself. I'll give it a year, I told myself.

    The year is over.

As soon as I can scrape together enough for a new iMac it's back to the sunny shores of OSX!

Moving to Mac will be the best decision I ever made. Again.
