I installed the new Xcode the other day and apart from the unpleasant surprise with the install app that doesn't seem to want to be removed (but which never the less was removed) the only thing that bothers me is the size of the thing; 10GB is quite a lot since I installed a SSD, and it's space that I'd rather not use on something that I utilize so infrequently.
So what I would like to do is to decrease the space that the developer tools uses of my SSD. Any suggestions as to how I can do this?
What I've done so far is I have identified the iPhone platform and simulator as what takes up most of the space and moved them to my HDD. Xcode starts up fine but it does not of course give me an option to create iPhone projects. Creating symlinks to the iPhoneOS.platform and iPhoneSimulator.platform makes Xcode crash on startup. As I said above, any ideas on how to fix this?
