This has to be my favourite player. You can control the volume with the arrows or mouse, set how long you want videos to skip, has a playlist, all in one window (unlike VLC)

is this still in development?
Last version is Movist_v0.6.8.zip Apr 2010

Dev's blog doesn't look updated :( http://cocoable.tistory.com/

Anybody heard anything about it? It's by far the best player

I don't know, but Movist still works for me the best.
Anyway, you can change the volume in VLC via mouse wheel, you can set VLC to change volume via just the up and down arrow keys and to skip 10s or so via just the left and right arrow keys. I did that for the 5% of clips Movist doesn't want.

Your best bet is to contact the developer to see if he's actively working on it

Liked Movist a lot. Then I met MPlayerX and I must say I'm a huge fan of MPlayerX -- probably moreso than Movist. You should check it out if you don't see any Movist updates anytime soon

Good news from the dev - a new version will come out on the app store!
Will be a few weeks..

That's good to hear. There have been no updates for ages and the current version is still not 100%. I really hope that the developer would take it more towards Quicktime X, just actually having features and format support.

Thank you for the good news!

Movist IS my favorite player for Mac OS X and even though MPlayerX is quite handy, too, it has yet to top the little things Movist does so well.

Haven't heard anything yet. Awaiting a release. Anybody care to nudge the dev for a status update?

It seems dead to me.. MPlayerX seems like the only solution that keeps getting developed at this point.

Both Movist and VideoLAN (VLC) are mostly dead, even though VLC will reborn as Lunettes but that seems to be way into the future.

Dev said he uploaded it to the app store a few days before Sep 7th so it should be coming in a week or so.

Maybe it's going to be paid app. I don't know it should be out by now. Its been about 20 days, how long does a new app take to be accepted?

This app is so brilliant and handles video effortlessly but lack of updates is frustrating. I hope it shows up on the store soon..

I used google translate which isn't the best but we have a 1.0!! :)

Here's the new site http://imovist.com/

Note that l want to ask. I will as soon as the time to prepare.

For a long time to update the story teuyigo there's a lot of license changes, etc.,
So get your facts straight and slowly raise one was here julyiget.

We ask a lot of cheer. ^ ^

Well, that's disappointing.

There are lots of free others or go download the old version of movist. Dev put a lot of into it, it costs to have such a cool program. Is it worth 2.99 to you? That's what it boils down to
