Hello Pro's,

My current setup is ageing slowly. However I am still very happy with my 5,1 Hex. I just got my PX1 SSD to boost it a bit. Now I am in the Process of replacing my Apple Display from 2010.
Here is the question: Does anybody use a curved display with a 34' size from LG or Samsung in conjunction with a 5,1 MP at the moment?

I really like this option here:

What I could not figure out:

#1
Does ElCapitan OSX support that 21:9 format at the moment or in the future?

#2
Will my current Nvidia GTX680 Mac Edition card work or is it too weak?

#3
In case Apple ever bring out a 4K or 5K Standalone Display, will I be able to connect it to my old 5,1?
(I really fear that Apple will exclude the 5,1 customers to force new MacPro & iMac sales as usual, because - as you all know, Apple hate's us small Pro crowd .. 😉

#2 GTX 680 might work for that it works well with my Seiki 4k tv
#3 good luck there I don't think Apple cares about mac pro users anymore

I use an LG 34UM95 via display port and it works fine, as it should, with a reference gtx680 (flashed) and I'm on El Capitan 10.11.5 on my 5,1. 21:9 presents no issues in osx or windows 10 at 3440 x 1440. In fact now that I have been using it for a while not sure I would want to revert to 16:9. My screen is flat as I prefer that look.

I have not ever had an issue with wake or power/sleep.
A push of the spacebar and all comes back awake.
I seem to remember there were two series of these monitors manufactured, I wonder if that is relevant.
