MP at Best Buy for 1,000 USD ?!

I just talked to someone who paid this there. He did not say what model but even if it was the 2,500 one ...

Don't see any online, I think when you said Mac Pro they confused it with the MacBook Pro 13 inch which you can buy on sale for $1,000.
 
I wouldn't be too shocked to see that as an open box deal on the 4-core MP. Bestbuy does occasionally have pretty absurd open box deals on Macs.
 
Both of those could be right. Either way though, it would be a nice deal if it came with the original warantee from Apple.

Agreed! This website isn't called "AppleHearsay". It's called "MacRumors" for crying out loud! We need FACTS!!! :eek:
 
I have since checked with him and it was a macbook pro (he had said it was a mac pro before). A 1,000 price tag on a MP is not that far off for the base model, particularly if it was an open box and/or rounding was used.
 
I didn't even think that Best Buy sells the Mac Pro in their Brick and mortar locations. I believe its only online?

But I could be wrong??
