Just to get you where i am now. Recently wiped the HDD and reinstalled the OS, all ok.
Unfortunately i lost an app i had for editing MP3 files it did everything i wanted, now i can't remember what it was.
The app removed the silences between the tracks, you could balance the volume of all the tracks to a set level (supposedly) and it found the Artwork for the songs.
I have looked but can't find what it was and i can't remember (memory not so good these days). And i paid for it!!!
It definitely was not a Wondershare app, it was fairly small in size.

Any help much appreciated, put what you like and i will search every one.
Thanks in advance.

There's an app I have called "MP3 Trimmer". Can split or join mp3 files, do fade-ins and fade-outs.
Very nice app that operates in the "native" mp3 format.

But I haven't seen many other apps that could work NATIVELY with mp3 files.
By "natively", I mean modify mp3's without "converting them" into another format (usually uncompressed) and then RE-compressing them back to mp3 format afterwards.

If you paid for it, your credit card statements or email with a download/registration link from a developer may help. Also, if you had it from the App Store, it's just a click away.

I have used Fission for years, together with Audio Hijack, to record online radio shows - highly recommended.
Same. Back in ye olden times of using an iPod, I scripted Audio Hijack to launch early in the morning and record the my local NPR station for an hour and then add the file to iTunes. I'd wake up and plug my iPod in, let it sync and then listen to the news on my subway commute to work. All of this is unnecessary now, of course, but not quite as satisfying.
