Hey everybody-

Sorry if I sound like a dunce, but I'm totally befuddled by this... my brother-in-law sent me some audio files in .mp4 format and I can't get iTunes to add them to the library. On the desktop (I'm running OSX Tiger) it thinks that they're movie files, but I also can't open them in Quicktime Pro. Anyone know of any converter freeware or a codec that would allow me to play these songs in iTunes?

Thanks in advance!

not sure if it makes any difference, but try renaming them as .m4a (apple's version of mp4) - it certainly works the other way, when you're trying to get AAC files to play on Windows players other than iTunes
