Mp4 movies to iphone 3gs

hi i bought a 32g iphone 3gs a week ago and ive been trying to add a mp4 movie to the phone.

the movie files add to itunes and play but for some reason wont transfer over to the phone.

i get the impression that you can only add rented or bought movies from itunes store.

is this correct and is there anyway around this?

No, you can add your own movies. They don't have to be rentals or from the store. Give more details on how big the files are.

1) Does it show up on iTunes?

2) If it does, open up iPhone in iTunes, and go under the movie tab, and click sync movies.

recovert them with the program "handbrake" using their "ipod" preset and you will be sweet. 🙂
