I got my new MPB today and I am trying to transfer my info from my Mac Pro to the new laptop. I've been trying to use the Migration Assistant, but once it plug the firewire into the laptop from the desktop, it kernel panics and crashes. I am restarting my desktop and holding the 'T' button down so that it kicks into firewire mode. I've also unplugged all of the peripherals and both computers have Leopard and all the most recent updates.

What can I do to fix this?
