I have a bunch of mpeg2 files from my old pc and would like to make a dvd from them. I copied them to my mac HD and I am not even able to play them let alone pull them into IDVD.
How do I burn mpeg2 files to DVD

Sadly even with the QuickTime MPEG2 component you will not be able to add MPEG-2 files to iDVD.

The only way to get around this is to convert your MPEG-2 files to another format, such as MOV or DV and import them. The only really annoying thing is that MPEG-2 is the native DVD format and iDVD will then only go away to convert your MOV or DV file back into MPEG-2.

Also, be aware that the QuickTime MPEG-2 component will not play MPEG-2 TS muxed files, only PS.
