Hello.

I often use MPEG Streamclip to transcode to ProRes or DNxHD, but seeing as it does not use all threads for me (only one thread on a 3770K right now) and no development has been done to MSC since 2012 (does anyone know, if it is dead?), is there any alternative that is not some ****** shareware?

I use Bigasoft's pro res converter because it can be configured to handle less than perfect video better than other freeware (and I tried them all). It will use at least 8 threads if you let it, especially if you are batch converting several clips. You can try it for free, but it is a paid product with a 60 day money back guaranty.

Compressor does DNxHD if you install Avids Quicktime Codecs LE package.
