MPEG Streamclip & MKV sound issue

Hello there.

Sometimes, MPEG Streamclip can't find any audio in some MKV files. "Audio Track" shows 0 and "Audio Mode" nothing (-). Consequently, the converted file has no sound. Any ideas how I could fix this? I'm on OS X 10.8.5 w/ MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b8.

Any alternatives besides Handbrake?
