hello,

i am trying to get mplayer to play a video through airfoil/airport express....

i had heard that m player can delay the video so that the audio through express and the video are synced together, but for the life of me i can't figure it out!

how do i do it?

thanks,
r.

So I just figured out how to do it.

under mplayer osx go to preferences > click advanced tab

then check the box for additional parameters and type in -delay

put a space in after delay and then enter the amount of seconds you want to delay the audio.

a positive number will delay the video where a negative will delay the sound.

i entered -delay 2.121 and that seemed to sync it up just right. you may have to play around a bit with the number to get it perfect. good luck!

also I found that command in a list of mplayer commands for mplayer linux http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/man/en/mplayer.1.html

Pressing the + or - keys during playback will also work (at least it does for MPlayer OSX Extended).

Any idea how to update the video file - so any future playback is sync'ed correctly? I have out of sync audio on a video - and need the video for editing.
Thanks
Tim
