this is clearly the best, imo.

VLC (Videolan.org) is a close second... but I've had better luck with MPlayer.

Well, for DivX files I use DivX 5a3 which I think installs the codec into QuickTime player along with the validator.
Really useful if you get corrupt files.
(Don't use 5.0.6, it messes up everything)

This player is working well for me so far.
