Does anyone here use MplayerX? I have some video files that uses aa 5.1, which is 6 channels, but I only have 2 speakers, left and right, meaning, two channels. Audio coming from the left is the right channel. Audio coming from the right is the center channel, can someone help me map the 6 channels into 2 channels?

Check 'Audio MIDI Setup' > configure speakers

not a direct answer to your q I know but... I think VLC maps the multiple channels to a stereo mix automatically.

You can then do things like flip left and right, play right through both channels, similar with left.

Appreciate that may not help, but then again it might...:D

are you using mplayerx from the app store or from their website. the one in the app store is an older version so if you're not sure check the website to get a recent copy.
