Not exactly, silly rabbit. His timing happened to mesh with our plans to bring in more skins. We are bringing something back to core code, something that will enable a serious expansion of skin choices and other items.

Thanks for continued work on this app. My Daughter has moved away for school and I set her up on my old AppleTV (I upgraded to 4K). She can access my Plex library using the Plex app, but since we both prefer MrMC I set that up for her also. I am very happy how good MrMC works remotely with Plex, having all the transcoding and bandwidth options. I have been using MrMC for a long time to watch my Plex library locally but never got the opportunity to see it work this way until now - impressive!

I love the app and the core concept behind it, and I really really want to use your program because the Plex app is terrible, AND I'm not trying to be mean, but to me even this skin is quite bad. The same guy makes another skin called Nebula that is leagues better.

I actually didn't realize that this is a forked Kodi - is there any advantage to using this versus sideloading Kodi?

EDIT: Trying MrMC just now inspired me to sideload Kodi on my ATV and I installed the official Plex addon. I absolutely love having the old Plex interface on my ATV, it's literally the only thing I miss since switching from Roku. I know it's convoluted when Plex makes a native Apple TV app, but it's really quite terrible and missing features. If there was ANY way to add the official Plex addon to MrMC I would buy it in a heartbeat (though I don't expect that from you). It would save me the $99/year in developer fees and I can't seem to get DTS passthrough working on Kodi, from what I understand it does work on MrMC. At the very least I appreciate you opening my eyes to the idea of running Kodi on Apple TV

The advantage is we care deeply about tvOS/iOS :) Very little actual work is done in Kodi regarding these platforms, in fact most (if not all) work regarding tvOS comes from MrMC in the first place. Our primary focus is stability and the best media playback in town.

Just an FYI, there are some serious changes for the better coming in the next versions. Several steps towards an end goal. One of these is to enable selected addons such as the official plex addon.

Fantastic news, once Plex addon is enabled I'll be a convert.

I just figured out that the Apple Watch and iOS Apple TV remotes don't work with Kodi (you're unable to click), and you have more advanced Siri remote handling in MrMC that works. Here's hoping you get the Plex addon working sooner rather than later.

I'm not sure if you do bounties or not, but since it would save me buying a developer account I wouldn't mind sending $50 for the feature.

iOS Apple TV remote should work in MrMC. it did once. We can re-test. Now Apple Watch, did not known it had one and I have an Apple Watch :) Oh goody.

No bounties required :) We are on a serious roll now.

It works fine in MrMC but not Kodi sideloaded is what I meant, so hopefully you can get the Plex Addon working in MrMC soon because Kodi is missing features that MrMC has.

Exiting news! Are you considering to include the hue plugin as a part of this?

I’ve notice that black levels seem raised quite a bit using MrMC. If I play the same file with Infuse I don’t get the same raised black levels. Might I be missing a setting or is something else going on?
