I've been searching through Excel help and I can't seem to find out how to do this. What I want to do is use the Tab button like you use it in Word Processing apps. In other words, I want to be able to push a button and have it skip five spaces. So far I've been using the space bar five times. But obviously, this can become tiring on a very large document. Can anyone help?

Why are you tabbing in Excel

Why not just use the next box, what are you tabbing. I don't think there is a way to do it because everyone would just use the next box. Is there some special reason you can't do that.

The reason I don't use the next box is because it won't line up correctly that way. This is an example of what I'm trying to do:

Accounts Payable................. $500.00
.. Borrowed Money.........

(Note: the dots are just to show spaces)
--------
Accounts Payable and borrowed money would be in the same column, where $500 would be in another column. I suppose I can use 3 cells in a row instead of two for this and just let them overlap, but I was hoping there was a way to just tab and keep them in the same column.
