Hi, I have the same issue. For info "New Outlook" uses a different search system (built in to outlook I believe) and not relying on a spotlight connection as the older Outlook for Mac does.
We had the same issue initially with Monterey release and it took a while before an uptake to Outlook sorted the issue.
I hope its quicker this time!
"New Outlook" is not workable for so many of us !

so interestingly enough if one does a native search via spotlight (in finder) no emails come up ..taht is very strange as before they would...

I have just downloaded Ventura Beta 4 and done a full Spotlight Reindex and the problem remains....I've reported to both Apple and Microsoft. I am running the latest beta of MS Outlook also (16.64 (22072501))

Glad I am not going crazy.

I ended up using web version of the Outlook to do the search as a work around until Outlook gets fixed by MS.

The challenge is when one has many "on computer" folders from many years emails that cannot store on the server...

The "New Look" seems to be the only way to get search working, or of course using the web app.

New Outlook uses a native search and does not rely on Spotlight (Apparently). Of course this is all good and well if all your emails are on a server / email that works with new outlook. When one has many "on computer" folders with email in them contained within outlook its not a solution unfortunately.

Interesting as I have the same version. Did you do anything particular after the Outlook update? FYI MS Support had me doing a lot of digging with them yesterday trying to get to the root of the problem.

Actually now that you mention it, I did go to spotlight preferences, added my hard drive in spotlight privacy. Closed Settings, returned to spotlight preferences and removed my hard drive. It reindexed pretty quickly and it worked perfectly in Outlook...finally.

Let me know if this works for you.

Unfortunately not...

Unfortunately not...strange how this can work somewhere and not elsewhere...

It's still no longer working for me either. So I'm using my windows PC. This M1 Max is about to be a hand me down and I move on with my Windows system, the M1 is just not working with my work flow and engineering software suite. :(

I'm not on the 13 beta (on 12.5.1), but this "search does not work" issue happens when I use Migration Assistant on a new machine. I delete the Outlook app, reinstall it, and re-index (via terminal). I'm never confident which step fixes the search. For instance, this time, I deleted 16.65 and installed 16.64.

I remain on the Old Outlook.

And via Terminal: <username>:mdimport -g "/Applications/Microsoft Outlook.app/Contents/Library/Spotlight/Microsoft Outlook Spotlight Importer.mdimporter" -d1 /Users/<username>/Library/Group\ Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook\ 15\ Profiles/Main\ Profile

Good luck.

Unfortunately this doesn't work. The "-g" command is no longer supported. Is there anyone out there for whom search in outlook works in macos ventura?

I thought I was going bat-cray cray when I just couldn't get Outlook search to work, and now it seems to be a Monterey/Outlook thingy. On 22A5358e and 16.65
