I bought a new aluminum keyboard for my white iMac and I find that Word 2004 does not recognise those lovely F16 to F19 keys when I try to add them as new shortcut keys. Has anyone found a way around this? I'd really like to use those extra keys!

Check out System Preferences, Keyboard and Mouse, Keyboard Shortcuts. That should allow you to assign any menu in any application to any key, including F16 to F19, plus variations like control-F16 or option-F19 etc.
Thanks Gnasher, but I did try that. I can certainly assign a command to MS Word in Keyboard & Mouse/Keyboard Shortcuts, to, say, F19, but it has no effect when I come to use Word. I'm assuming that Word somehow does not recognise those F16 to F19 keys.
