Hello,

Why does everytime somebody sends me Video Conversation, Im unable to connect because it tells me I have to download the latest version and when I download it, its the Windows version

They should fix this, as many people use,. but probably many dont report it

amsn may support all the features of normal msn, but my god why does it have to do it in the most clunky slow and ugly way?

AdiumX is the best multi-protocol messenger there is :)

"Version 7.0 was originally meant to include webcam and audio capabilities but was delayed once more. There was widespread annoyance among the Mac community when this version was released, as it only included very minor enhancements and bug fixes - many regard it as version 6.0.4 as nothing substantially new was implemented to bring it on par with the Windows version.

Webcam and audio support has been delayed due to Windows Live Messenger's webcam and audio engine being reworked, which meant that the Mac version had to wait until this was complete in order for both platform releases to function correctly. This has been questioned hugely, as basic webcam and audio support could have been implemented years ago and then updated to be compatible with the new Windows Live Messenger.

If I need to A/V chat I run Windows Live Messanger in parallels in a different space :D or just Skype.

I have a few friends who just MSN and browse all day. They don't wanna switch to Mac because the MSN sucks

so we get office 08 before windows does, but not msn?
That's nothing new. Office was released for the Mac before Windows.
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_office
Prior to packaging its various office-type Macintosh software applications into Office, Microsoft released Mac versions of Word 1.0 in 1984, the first year of the Macintosh computer; Excel 1.0 in 1985; and PowerPoint 1.0 in 1987. Microsoft Office for Mac was introduced for Macintosh in 1989, before Office was released for Windows. It included Word 4.0, Excel 2.20 and PowerPoint 2.01.

yup, this is the same thing I do when I'm chatting with my girlfriend, sometimes I just boot directly into XP, but most times I just parallels

So there isn't a solution to this with out having to use XP???????

I've tried other programs, and in my opinion they were no better than MSN although some did offer audio and video capabilities. To each their own, of course.
