So there isn't a solution to this with out having to use XP???????

You can try aMSN, it does have A/V but personally I don't really like it that much, aMSN looks kinda messy and stuff, I prefer the original Mac MSN Messenger. It just seems neater.

On the other note tho, I really do wish they will be adding OFFLINE MSG along with AUDIO/VIDEO option with the next update!!!!

I hope that there will be an update at all. It looks like MS really don't give a biip about the OSX version of MSN. It is understandable.

totally agree

I had the same problem. However, me and my family managed to switch to Skype since the A/V quality is so much higher but at the expense of not being able to chat to more people who has MSN accounts.

Solution: use Adium and Skype at the same time.

Now there's Gmail as another alternative.

true, this is not an issue when it's between, say me and my girlfriend, or me and a family member, but trying to convert a sizable number of friends and other relatives it's next to impossible. But you're totally right, I like those options, gmail in particular.

and I agree with what others have said, offline messages would be a great improvement, as well as audio and video of course… but who knows when this might happen.
